The Invitational Summer Institute (SI)
CWP’s SI is an intensive 16-day summer institute program where fifteen teachers meet to examine their teaching practices, demonstrating and sharing their best instructional strategies; develop their own writing; and plan and carry out classroom-based research projects. Many participants say that SI is “the best sixteen days” of their professional lives. To apply for this institute, click on the link below.
Technology Open Institutes (Watch for one near you!)
CWP’s Technology Open Institutes are true hands-on experiences—“make and take” sessions where teachers are introduced to new ways to use technology in the classroom, have the opportunity to explore and use it themselves, and get ready to use it with their students. No computer experience necessary! If teachers in your district or building are looking for ways to use technology in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning, contact Lavon Jonson (jonsonl@manistee.org), Kathy Laubon (klaubon@hotmail.com), or Lynn Chrenka (chrenkal@ferris.edu).
